What Makes Miele's Vacuums Different?
Real power sets our vacuum cleaners apart |
Once you try a Miele canister vacuum cleaner, you will not want to use anything
else.
Miele's powerful vacuum cleaners are highly responsive to the slightest touch,
which means you will not be fighting with your vacuum cleaner.
By combining a powerful
1200-watt motor with a smooth, completely sealed system, Miele's
engineers have increased the airflow on some of our canisters up to an incredible
141 cubic feet per minute for added power and performance.
Regardless of which model you choose, Miele's motors produce exceptional
airflow that ensure deep cleaning for any pile carpeting and superior cleaning
results on all smooth floor surfaces.
All Miele's canister vacuum cleaners are also equipped with speed control
so you can reduce the suction when cleaning more delicate surfaces. |

| Legendary Filtration
|
Vacuum cleaners are designed to remove dust, dirt and debris from your carpeting
and furniture.
In order to produce a vacuum cleaner that actually performs its primary function
successfully, it must first have adequate airflow to gather dirt and debris.
Unfortunately, not all vacuum cleaners do this. The second part of the equation
is filtration. Most vacuum cleaners lack
the design and proper filtration system required to contain microscopic
particles that have escaped through the dustbag as well as any particles
that may be generated by the motor. This post motor filter design, in conjunction
with rubber sealing throughout the system, is crucial to maintaining clean
air.
Every Miele vacuum cleaner, including our upright units, come standard with
a double layer dustbag, a pre-motor filter, and an advanced exhaust filter
configuration. Over the past 75 years, our engineering and production laboratories
have tested hundreds of methods to improve dust pickup and retention ratios.
Miele's firm conclusion is that using a dustbag is the most effective and
hygienic method of removing dust from the home while maintaining superior
indoor air quality.
Miele canister and mini-upright vacuums offer three exhaust filter options
to capture the tiny particles that have escaped through the dustbag as well
as any particles that may be generated by the operation of the motor. These
post motor filter designs, working in conjunction with rubber seal throughout
the system, are crucial to maintaining clean air.
First, and most commonly included in Miele vacuums, is the electrostatically
charged Super
Air Clean filter.
This filter is designed for normal household use, where allergies and odors
are not an overwhelming concern. The Super Air Clean filter is made of a
multiple layer, random-spun, electrostatic charged material that retains
99.9% of all particles 0.5 microns and larger and 94% of particles down
to 0.3 microns in size. This filter lasts as long as five dustbags and is
included with each box of bags.
Next is the Active
Air Clean filter.
This combines the Super Air Clean Filter with active charcoal pellets, which
absorb odors - especially useful if you have pets in your household. The
Active Air Clean filter achieves the same superb filtration results as the
Super Air Clean filter and has an operating life of approximately 12 months
or 50 hours of vacuuming.
Finally, there is the
Active HEPA filter.
Vacuuming can be a nightmare for people who suffer from dust allergies, as
tiny particles of dust, such as dust mite feces and pollen can be disturbed
and remain airborne for hours, exacerbating conditions such as bronchial
asthma and rhinitis.
With an Active HEPA filter installed within the Sealed System casing of
select series of Miele vacuums, real allergy-relief can be a reality. Our
certified HEPA filter traps 99.9% of particles down to 0.3 micron in size
- that is 1/200 the width of a strand of human hair |
A H.E.P.A. filter, even
a certified one like ours,
is useless if the vacuum cleaner leaks air prior to passing through the
filter
like some other "HEPA-like" or "HEPA-type" vacuum cleaners do. |
- When using a Miele canister or mini-upright with HEPA, you are guaranteed
to capture, retain and filter virtually all particles.
- Our engineers have crafted an air-tight dust chamber, with rubber
gaskets, to ensure that the air passes through the final exhaust filter
and is not leaked out.
- Miele's advancements in this area have been so remarkable that the
new S500 and S600 series are the first ever HEPA certified vacuum cleaners
in the world.*

EN 1822 filtration standard for vacuum cleaner appliance and HEPA filter).
Miele vacuum cleaners not only have powerful motors and effective Sealed
System filtration, they are also designed with a variety of significant
features - all to make cleaning easier.
Beginning with their castor wheels, capable of spinning 360°, Miele vacuums
are responsive to the user's slightest command. Check the
'Features' page for more information.
Another big difference of Miele's vacuum cleaners is a long array of accessories
designed to make cleaning effortless, optional vacuum cleaner heads solve
defferent problems. An information on these you can find on
'Accessories' page.
